Task upload is a scope feature that allows users to upload one or multiple Tasks from an Excel file.
In order to use this feature user needs to open Manage -> Data -> Tasks page and
( 1 ) Click 'Upload Tasks' button
After 'Upload Tasks' popup is opened user has a few options:
( 1 ) 'Generate Template' link allows the user to download an empty Task import file. This file should be populated with the Task data you wish to upload.
Note: all fields are required.
- All roles should be grouped by the department (do not duplicate department name in the Department name column)
- The format cannot be changed otherwise the upload will fail
( 2 ) 'Instruction Manual' link will redirect the user to a page with upload instructions
( 3 ) Upload the file using the 'Browse' button
( 4 ) Before the user uploads Task(s), the completed file should be validated by the scope system
In the case of any invalid or missing data in the upload file, you will see the option to download the validated excel file.
This download will highlight all missing or invalid data according to a colour code (pictured below). All highlighted data should be updated and then the file can be re-uploaded back into the scope system.
To upload a new Rate Card the user should specify:
1) Rate Card name
2) Task Name
3) Task description
4) Task internal note
5) Role name
6) Department name
After the file is successfully validated, the user will see a success message and will be able to upload the uploaded Task. The uploaded Task will be displayed on the page after a short delay.
