It is possible that Scope will present a number of roles to work on a component and you as the agency might want to use different roles or a different proportion of those roles. The Merge Role function allows you to combine a ScopeMark Role with another role on that component so that the roles might be completed by the same person.
Merge Role option in Scope Deliverable Builder lets you merge your agency roles with each other.
To merge an agency role to another one:
- Go to the agency role which you want to be merged in the resource list
- Click Merge Role icon
- Select an available agency role from the list which you want to merge to and click Choose
Note: All available agency departments and roles are coming from the ratecard linked to the current scope. You can merge agency roles, only. For more information on how to substitute Scope roles with Agency Roles, please read this article: What does Substitution Role mean in Deliverable Builder.
At Scope we would always suggest that you should never Delete roles that you should either Merge, Substitute or Add roles when you add roles, you can then see at all times if it is tracked to the Scope Mark. Also if you then Add a role you can then substitute that role so then you can track at all times how your agency is tracking to the ScopeMark or industry benchmark. This is industry best practice for using Scope.
