Overview
This guide explains how to create a scope template from scratch. A scope template is a scope that can be re-used by all users, and can be applied to different clients and different rate cards. These templates mean that users no longer need to scope projects of the same type again scratch.
Prerequisites
- You must be signed in to your SCOPE Better Account.
- You must have the right 'User Permissions' enabled on your account.
Step-by-Step Instructions
How to create a scope template from scratch
Step 1 - Select 'Template' from the dropdown
Step 2- Complete the scope detail fields (suggest using an agency/company standard ratecard and client)
Step 3- Add your items - deliverables/fixed fees/stages as you would when creating your normal scope.
Step 4- Populate your template with components tailored to the business baseline for this type of scope to give users a starting point
How to create a scope template from an existing scope
Step 1- Click into the scope you want to use from the My Scopes page to be your template
Step 2- Go to 'Add Item'
Step 3- Select 'Mark as template'
Step 4- The scope will now appear with a new icon, and in the 'Templates' tab in My Scopes.
